The other day, when I was at my friend's house in Phippsburg, Maine, I noticed the wonderful old door knobs they lived with every day. The house was built in the mid 1800's, and I do believe these are originals. Aren't they neat? We had some glass doorknobs in a house we lived in when I was small. Isn't it funny, I remember the doorknobs more than the house? Guess life is in the details.
My sister has an antique store in Oklahoma. I have to send these photo to her, and she will be jealous. She once carried a bag of beautiful old door knobs she found at a yard sale up here back on the plane. You would of thought she discovered gold. Of course, she couldn't do that now, the knobs would be considered a weapon!
