my garden is an island
standing in a white space

Morning in a Maine garden, how exquisite! Sandy, your photos & poetry express your garden beautifully. It looks peaceful and it makes me want to know more about it–how big is it? What animals do you see in the morning?

Judith,
Mostly deer in the early hours, but have seen fox, turkeys, moose, ermine, coyotes, porcupines, racoons, and of course, skunks.

As far as size, the main garden is only abut 25x 40 feet. Lots of my photos come from the surrounding fields, and the woods, so I sort of have an extended, natural garden.
