Southern Maine is having some really great weather this week. I took this shot of the clouds and the old Grange across the field while I was out working in the garden today. The clouds couldn’t have been prettier, and the air was just a tiny bit chilly, perfect for garden work.

I am getting lots of tomatoes this week, and a few cucumbers and squash. Many of the flowers are over for the year, and I am starting to trim up the plants. Still waiting for the bee balm to bloom, seems awfully late this year. While I worked, I made plans in my head for next years garden. It was a pleasant morning, and I came indoors, tired but happy.

The butterfly below landed just in front of me, while I was shooting the Grange. I don’t know what it is, and can’t find it on the internet. It looks a lot like a red spotted purple. Guess I need to get a better butterfly guide.
