I *love* gourds and pumpkins. Did you grow these? I love growing them when I have extra room (when I don’t need the garden spot for food).
Museum setting – that’s interesting. Is it to make things look “oldish?”

Pam,
No, I didn’t grow them, but maybe I will next year. The grocery had them for 39 cents a pound, so I got a bunch.

Yes, the museum setting does make the scene look older. I wonder if only coolpix nikons have it?

Save the seeds from them and plant your own next year, just to see what comes up.

Meredith,
That’s a good idea, I will save the seeds. And, I can grow the vines on tomato cages, since the gourds are small.

Gorgeous photo. Gee, I guess I should read MY little Nikon’s manual.

Sandy,
I don’t have a museum setting on my Canon. I haven’t seen it on my parent’s Kodak EasyShare or Pentax cameras. The museum I work at just bought a real nice Kodak EasyShare with lots of settings – I’ll have to see if it has it.

These are beautiful
Wish my camera had a museum setting – but I suspect it is also the eye behind the camera that is necessary for these beautiful photos:)

I love the gourd colors, lovely, lovely! What a nice assortment of gourds you have. The lighting in the photo matches the warmth of the gourd colors–’museum setting’–I don’t have that setting (but I use a Canon). I like the idea of saving the seeds to see what you might grow.

Sandy, you take such beautiful photos! Is your Nikon a digital SLR? I’ve been salivating over them, but I think the expense is just a bit much and I really like the portability of my small Olympus. I’ve had it for about three years now, so I’m thinking of maybe upgrading. Any recommendations?

Giddy,
This shot was taken with a nikon coolpix 4300, a small digital camera.
My husband did just get me a nikon d200 which is a digital SLR. I am stil learning all that it can do. Love both of them!
