prompt - storms

colors of sunset
sparkle through the falling snow
stunning finale

This shot was taken looking across the street from our house. Since most of our weather comes from the west, we can often see the storm’s end, while the snow is still falling here. On this day, we were expecting the storm to last into the night, so this sunset was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent haiku. Must be beautiful when you wake up and look out your window in the morning. Your view is a painting.

Sandy,
I can but echo the previous commentors.
The picture is postcard perfect.
And well chosen words describe it to a T.

Thanks for looking under the microscope and leaving a comment.

Hi Sandy!
It’s been a while! Photos are looking absolutely gorgeous as usual! How lovely you get to have snow for Christmas! :) Just wanted to stop in and wish you happy holidays and best wishes for a great new year!

Now that’s a Christmas card picture, if ever I’ve seen one!

We are snowless right now. I hear it is supposed to snow on C. Eve, which will be nice.

What a lovely picture! My husband has always wanted a house on a hill overlooking the west so he could see the weather coming in!

Gorgeous pic - you’re so lucky to have this view! Nicely done haiku, too.

Beautiful…the photo and the words. I love the hush at the end of a snowstorm.
