Here is another view of the old brownstone mansion I visited in Portland a couple of weeks ago. The house was all decked out for the holidays, inside and out. I put this shot through the watercolor filter in my Corel program.

My husband tells me the solstice is on the 22nd this year. Okay, so this is my solstice shot for the year. Taken a little after seven yesterday morning, facing east.

Taken last year, this is the view from the window closest to my computer. The frost layer was taken on the solstice. This year is nothing like the scene in the photo. We have no snow and the temperatures are above average.

This shot was taken looking across the street from our house. Since most of our weather comes from the west, we can often see the storm’s end, while the snow is still falling here. On this day, we were expecting the storm to last into the night, so this sunset was a pleasant surprise.
