I went out yesterday to check the garden, just after the rain stopped. Lots of things are starting to come up now, and many of the perennials are green. Last year’s parlsey is still going strong, and the johnny-jump-ups sprinkled all over the yard will be blooming soon.

Both these shots of sedum were taken up in the bed against the back of the house. I also have daffodils there about ready to bloom, too. Even the mums are showing foliage.

The bad news is that we getting another snow, big flakes coming down right now, and 3-6 inches expected during the night, for here along the coast. I know this late snow makes the grass green up faster, but I am tired of snow!

At least there is green at the end of the white tunnel! Poor man’s fertilizer! Love the pics!

This snow won’t last long, will it? Glad to see you are seeing green, Sandy, despite the white stuff. Think of it as a nice rainfall.

Yuck to spring snow! We’re supposed to get lake-effect this weekend. I hope they’re wrong about that!

Your close-up photo of the sedum with the rain on it is gorgeous! No snow here, but temps are expected to drop down into the twenties. There go my peas. :-(

It sounds like you’re warmer than me and I’m south of you (near Boston). My parsley was totally frozen by the winter with no signs of growth yet. No Johnny-jump-ups yet, and my sedums are still really tiny sprouts. I love to see your pictures! Maybe tonight will be our last snow of the season. We can always hope….

I second–or is that seventh?–your snow sickness. When will spring come to New England?
