Rhubarb Pecan Muffins
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs or 1/2 cup eggbeaters
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups finely chopped rhubarb
1/2 chopped pecans
21/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash of cinnamon
1. Mix together brown sugar, oil, eggs. Add buttermilk rhubarb and pecans.
2. Add dry ingredients and mix.
3. Spoon batter into muffin tins, bake 20 minutes at 425 ºF (220º C)
Just tried this new recipe. I like it and will use it again

The blackflies are out in full force in southern Maine. In the morning when I was in the woods, the temperature was high, and the air was muggy. Later in the day, a breeze came up and cooled us off nicely.
Fringed polygala in full bloom, with canada mayflower, just coming out.
Bunchberries are everywhere right now. These were along the roadway, where the blueberries grow. You can see the bushes in the photo.
The lady slippers are finally out!
