capturing the planting moon May 1, 2007

When I was getting ready to serve supper last evening, I glanced out the window to see this scene. My husband was still talking when I went the door with my camera. Even then, by the time I got to the edge of the yard, there was only time for four quick snaps before the moon slipped back under the clouds. We had a typical spring weather day yesterday, rain all morning, a few hours of brilliant sun, and then, these clouds moving back in at sunset.
This is called the planting moon by the Cherokees. See more information on that here.
