agastache

This is Golden Jubilee Agastache, grown from seed I got from Pinetree Garden Seeds. The plants are getting just a bit large to keep indoors, so from now on, they will be out days, and back in the cellar for nights. I don’t usually put my plants in the garden until the end of May, here in Zone 5, just to be on the safe side. Of the perennials I started from seed this year, this is my favorite.

Another choice that I think is going to work out well is Queeny Hollyhock. It is actually listed under container plants in the seed catalog, but I am going to put all but one plant out in my garden. This variety only grows 2-3 feet tall, and that will be perfect for the back of my garden. The cotton seeds just been into the soil. Last year, I started them way too early, and by the time I could get them outdoors they were tall and lanky. Most of the rest of my seed starts are different types of tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. All things I have planted before except the Totem container Tomato. Gardening will be moving outdoors over the weekend, for sure.
