I sympathise with you and the steamy air … beautiful picture, by the way! We are having day upon day of high humidity, which is most unusual for us. Wilting seems to be the best word to describe how one feels on these days. I haven’t started wishing for autumn yet because our winters are so long and cold that I can’t bear that to happen yet.
Yours is a Perfect haiku for us except I would substitute steamy for smoky. If that is a little Redpole ( I can’t tell) then it has the bathing thing down.
The weather is perfect here today, so hopefully that will come your way, soon. We’re supposed to get hot and humid again next week, though.

Autumn is on my mind, too! The heat and humidity the past week has been awful. That little finch has the right idea!
Ooops! That’s a sparrow.
I just ordered my first StarGazer lilies on line today. I can’t wait for them to arrive so I can see them in my garden too. Such a beautiful color.
Awwww . . that picture . . . .Awwwww . .
‘Steamy’ is right. It’s hard to imagine ‘crisp air’ on a sultry evening like this.
Nicely seen
