This shot was taken last week while visiting friends up the coast. The boat is a San Francisco Bay Pelican newly built by Carol’s husband. I could have gotten a better shot of the boat if I had brought another lens, but this shows what a lovely stretch of river they look out on each day. Besides the water view, the bank is covered with all sorts of wildflowers and grasses. Carol and I identified a new flower while we were there, look here for information on purple gerardia.
