Here are a few shots taken from the east end of Portland, Maine. That is Peaks Island across the way. Notice that the leaves have barely started to turn, unlike the inland woods.

The gulls posed very nicely when I walked out on the rocks to take their photo. Doesn’t that black water look cold?

This shot is looking northeast, toward Falmouth. The water was busy, lots of boats coming and going while we watched. A cold wind doesn’t seem stop Mainers from a day of fishing or just boating.
