Two degrees below zero this morning here. That is warm compared to the -26 Houlton (way up north in Maine) was this at the same time. I was delighted, a little later, to raise the shade and find these ferns and flowers growing on the glass.

That is one of the best things about winter – the colder it is, the more Jack Frost plays on our windows. I’ve had some of the best patterns emerge this year. It is my way of knowing what the weather is like.
