geranium

A couple of months ago, I clipped some cuttings off one of my geraniums waiting out the winter down in the cellar. One clipping rooted very quickly, so I potted it and placed it in the kitchen window, with my African Violets. The plant has grown like crazy, and now has several blossoms getting ready to open. I wish I could say exactly what the name of this plant is, but it was one I got at a no name tag sale for 99ยข. Outdoors, the color was a lot brighter, and not so pretty as it is in indoor light.

Here is a view shooting straight down at the flower. I used the close up setting on Nikon Coolpix 4300 for both of these shots. There are a couple more shots on my Flickr site of this photo enhanced with the fractal trace and seamless filters in the GIMP graphics program. Just click on the shot above to get there.
