red sky in morning March 4, 2008

We are supposed to get a storm later today, and by the looks of the sky, it looks like a sure thing. My coffee got cold this morning when I glanced out the window to see this. Grabbing my coat, clogs, and camera, I made it down the icy trail to the edge of the field very quickly. The last three photos were taken over a three minute period. I used my Nikon d200, and the AF-G DX VR Nikkor 55-200 mm lens for these shots.

Oh wow …. this is so beautiful. I just said to my hubby that some of my garden pals here live in Eden (winter or not this is too gorgeous) .. living in a country setting has definate PERKS !
Pictures like these are amazing.
Your sunrises are gloriously breathtaking. No wonder your coffee got cold
We’re having another snowy/sleety day too, after a gorgeous taste of spring yesterday.
Your consistency is getting a little boring ;0) I’m running out of adjectives. Just pick a letter, below, to fill in the blank.
Sandy, this haiku/picture (s) is____________!
A.) Exquisite
B.) Beautiful
C.) Poignantly evocative of some lost thing
E.) Whimsical
D.) All of the above.
Definitely worth having to reheat your coffee! Very nice shots, Sandy - you have the most sculptural trees in strategic places
Great pictures!! They look so pretty!! I would have left my coffee to.
Laugh! I love Cathy Wilson’s response above. I am totally not complaining, mind you, but I do feel like I say “lovely” and “fabulous” way too often!
Beautiful photos…as always! Sadly, I don’t see sunrises because of the mountains in the way. But the mountains are pretty, too.
LOL, I love Cathy’s comment!
I agree, it’s simply (D)….All of the above on Cathy’s comment.
A treat!
It is D. ~All of the Above!!
