Here is another project done in  GIMP. I needed something for a card for my grandson, who birthday is today. This is a composite of two shots taken this month in the backyard. First I zapped the background off the crow photo, then pasted it to the sunrise. After that, I ran the photo through both the cartoon and and the canvas filters, to give it a little texture. As I post this,  I can hear a bunch of crows out at the feeders. I wonder if this one is out there today?

That is wonderful. The light is gorgeous! You did a really good job blending the two photos — I wouldn’t have thought it was a composite! Impressive!

Sandy, you are so talented! One of these days, I’ll have the time to realy get into this photography thing, but first, I have to read the directions to the camera! LOL!

How creative! Did you take a class to learn all the things you do, or did you just figure it out as you go along. I am impressed and amazed at all the things you do with your pictures… You must have a lot of fun!

Excellent blending of the two photos. I love this photo, as well as the previous posting with the bottles. Great photography!

No classes, Rondi, I just like to play around with the programs. And yes, I do enjoy it!

You have much more patience than I with using the computer. This is a great composite.

Dear Sandi,
Wonderful composite. The background does appear to be cloth.
I like making my birthday cards too.
