The prompt this week for the One Single Impression haiku group is flowering. This photo is a shot I took last year standing under a wild pear tree in my neighbor’s yard. I know that many farmers and gardeners have been worried about a lack of bees, but there was no problem here. This tree was buzzing. To read more haiku on this subject check on OSI above.

We seem to have plenty of bees here in Upstate New York, too… and I don’t know if it’s my imagination or not, but they seem HUGE.

Beautiful photo and poem.

Such lovely blossoms! It’s incredible to imagine that humankind depends on creatures so small!

– My mother would not agree that comfort could be found in the drone of bees!

Beautiful. It is comforting, isn’t it?
May the bees thrive and thrive and thrive.

Really nice. I wonder if there’s a way for you to make the font more readable, though. Unless it’s just my aging eyes. Anyway, nice ‘ku and lovely photo. It’s especially good to know that some bee hives are doing just fine!

On my hike/clean up volunteering Saturday, I was astonished by the constant sound of the busy, busy bees. It was remarkable. Lovely haiku and beautiful picture.

In summer, when the thyme is blooming, it’s almost impossible to get into the herb garden. The plants are literally covered with bees! It’s quite a sight and the sound of the buzzing gets quite loud.
