The prompt this week for One Single Impression is warm. Just this week, our maples have leafed out, due to the warmth of the spring sun. I love watching this timeless process happen each year.  Please click OSI for more of this week’s haiku.

This is wonderful. It reminds me of how the light can seem summery in spring or wintery in summer. Those tricks of the light that never let us forget the next season is not so far away. God bless.

Ah, simple miracles are the best! This is lovely.

I love the concept of each leaf being a little bit of summer shade. :) That light is warm and lovely.

Truly lovely. Wonderful photo and I love the haiku. I would never have thought of the leaves in those terms – summer shade unfolding. Awesome.

Oh how neat! They truly are a miracle, aren’t they?

Very nice, and the font works very well for my aging eyes. :-)

I love how the haiku itself “unfolds” unexpectedly at the end into a further image in my mind of a hot weather shade tree. Cool (both meanings of that word)!

This is a wonderful photo. I love the idea that shade is a miracle during the summer. Living in the South, I always appreciate shade in the summer along with a breeze.

ahh maples you have caught the timing perfectly… of course, it is a beautiful shade tree but there are these twirly thingee seed pods that have multiplied as the tree gets bigger… thousands of ‘em and they sprout so easily… imagine picking them out of flower beds…

We were out of state last week. The trees were not leafing out when we left and it was such a delightful surprise to see the beautiful green spring color upon our return.

I imagine of line up of these wonderful trees spreading and reaching across the span of a street.

Ah … such a lovely photo and delightfully surprising ‘take’ on this week’s OSI theme! It’s wonderfully imaginative idea ;–)

It really is a miracle to see the ’summer shade’ return each spring. Beautiful words and photo, Sandy. I love all your haikus and have enjoyed catching up with all your recent posts today.

I love naming of the leaves as summer shade. Gorgeous.

Thank you!
