The One Single Impression prompt choices this week are transience and permanence. I chose to write about the transient beauty of spring flowers. If you are a parent or teacher, I am sure you recognize Miss Rumphius, if not, look here.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Though I lived in Maine I have yet to read Miss Rumphius, even though I love lupine and Barbara Cooney! The poem is perfect for the illustration. I miss lupine in spring!
Delightful haiga. I was not familiar with Miss Rumphius, so thanks for that link.
Afraid I had to go research Miss Rumphius. Wonderful poem/picture (so beautiful). Miss Rumphius would indeed be proud.
Your beautiful haiga makes me long to go back to Maine.
I love the Miss R. story! I hope everyone who doesn’t know it finds it to fall in love with it. Thanks for this lovely contribution this week. God bless.
I will definitely find Miss Rumphuis and read her story, it sounds delightful! I love Lupines and have many presently in bloom inmy garden. Lovely haiga.
i would just love to lie down amongst that beauty & steep in it for a few hours! thank you for the lovely words & photo
Maine is such a gorgeous place, I hope I can go back again. Such a beautiful verse and photo. Thanks for the memories.
I really like those blue lupines. We have them all over the hillsides here. I dig up the seedlings for my garden. Love their spicy scent and pamated foliage, like miniature palm trees.
Beautiful write and image. It does draw me into the flowers and makes me linger.
Terrific image. You made my day!

as a gardener i patiently watch the few moments of a flowers glory… it is so fleeting yet so beautiful… lupines have the deepest colors…
