whitecampion
June was a wet and foggy month here in Maine. This morning, I counted the days we had rain in my journal, (yes, I start with a weather report) and discovered we had 13 days with rain, and that doesn’t count the days we had fog in the early morning. Needless to say, I took lots of photos under those conditions. The shot above is white campion or evening lychnis. Lots of it is showing up in the field in the last few years.
catchfly
This is catchfly, a bright pink wildflower that I originally got in a seed mix. It is messy in the garden, but looks wonderful out in the grassy field.
muskmallow
Musk mallow came to me as a gift from a gardener friend. It is pretty in the garden, but again, I think it looks much better growing wild. A good thing too, because it hopped out of the garden the first year I had it. I am thinking that my interests are definitely turning toward wild gardening.
