This is my first meadowhawk dragonfly shots of the year. I took these just behind my garden in the field grass. For some reason, I am seeing more dragonflies close to the house this year. Less butterflies, though. Wonder why that is? Below is another pose of the same guy. I really do think dragonflies like to pose.  It is almost like they are saying “How about this?” as they move from one place to the other.

As I write this, I hear a  strange bird call coming from the garden. It sounds like a crow with a sore throat. Guess, I will take my camera and go see if I can tell what is making that sound. It probably is just a crow with a sore throat.
