I took this shot with my Coolpix 4300 on Saturday before the rain started. The sky was odd, and there was fog off shore. Hurricane Hanna was on the way up the coast, so lots of the boats were already gone from the water. The canvas texture works well on this shot, but I wish they would make one with random brush strokes. Click on photo to see a larger view.

That is a really neat effect. You can almost feel the anticipation of Hanna.
That is a nice effect on your picture. It seems to put the scene back in time.
Lovely effect….
Lovely — the calm before the storm
Very nice effect you got with the rain.
Bar Harbor, across the bay had 7+ inches from Hanna. We got about 4″. Thank goodness she dumped most of it during the night.
Beautiful shot – I really like the black & white. I’m glad Hanna didn’t do much damage.
Oh this is so cool! I love this effect. Is this difficult to achieve? I have a Coolpix too, have to check out the manual. Hope you escaped the full wrath of this storm…..Take care, G
Thanks for sharing what you did to this photo. I’m trying to learn (by experimentation mostly) what each of the PSE6 filters do … but methinks I’m in over my head sometimes.
Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful late summer flowers! I have an award for you at my site! Come and get it! Roxanne
