My daughter brought these for Thanksgiving dinner. They are really good, I ate three!
Angel Biscuits
2 packages yeast 1/4 cup water 5 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2 sticks margarine or butter 2 cups buttermilk or sour milk Mix, shape and brush with butter. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 450ยบ. Martha says proof the yeast first, but I just mix everything together. (that from Mindy)

I guarantee they were good. Biscuits, yummy!
That’s one ambitious, non-lazy girl. I don’t even make the ones in the pop-open thingie. I can’t even recall the last time I made biscuits. Such a shame, too, for I love them. I just don’t like to cook! Happy Holidays! And it looks like you’ll eat well!

Mmmm, they look really good!
They look wonderful…. brings back memories of a time when I could eat such things. (I have been on a gluten free for about 7 years now.)
Sounds good. I printed it out. Love me some good biscuits!
Okay, I gained another three pounds just looking at those biscuits and I am now dreaming of biscuit breakfast with butter and jam….oatmeal will have to be a poor substitute. Love your frost pictures and aren’t daughters the best!
Oh, another recipe and these look so tasty. I usually make drop biscuits-thanks for sharing.
I really like the picture of your daughter.
I’ll have to try this – they look delicious. I tried your pumpkin custard pie recipe for Thanksgiving and it was a BIG hit!
“Angel” because they are so light and fluffy, no doubt! They look scrumpy!
What a thoughtful gift for your daughter to bring. Yummmm…..;)
In my former “southern” days, we used to roll those biscuits about 1/4 inch thick, fry them and then slather them with our homemade apple butter. Oh, YUM!
mmmmm yummmmy
