I took this frost shot early Saturday morning. It was very cold and windy, and we had nice patterns on the windows on the west side of the house. This one reminds me very much of a common wild flower. Can anyone guess which one I am thinking of?

How very pretty this is, Sandy. It kind of reminds me of Herb Robert.
Queen Anne’s Lace? I hope that frost was on the outside of the window! Really cold up here, as well.
Don’t know. It reminds me of ferns.
yes I would agree with both responses thus far, a lovely specimen of Queen Anne’s Lace (perhaps the purple leaved Anthriscus sylvestris) with lovely fronds of fern behind it…. a stunning photograph!
I think it’s ferns around the edges, QE Lace in the middle. So pretty!
Sandy .. I am a vote for Queen Anne’s Lace too ! .. this is a great picture : )
PS .. I also thought of ferns around the outside like Deborah ..
I’m useless when it comes to the names of flowers but it does look like little ferns at the top. Beautiful…but it must be very cold in your part of the world.
I love the frost. I think it looks like Queen Anne’s Lace .
i was thinking Queen Anne’s Lace, too. Gorgeous shot!
Perfect picture for our cold weather…looks like Queen Anne’s Lace to me too. When I was little, I drew pictures in the frost on the windows.
It looks like a black and white shot of Indian paintbrush. They cover the foothills in the summer.
Queen Anne’s Lace is what sprang to my mind!
No can guess but what a breathtaking photo! Wonderful work as usual S.
I was thinking queen anne’s lace!
Others took MY guess. It’s so delicate and lovely.
Hugs and blessings,
