While talking to my sister on the phone this morning, the sky outside my kitchen window slowly turned to this. As soon as we finished our conversation, I bundled up and went out with my camera. It was only 10ยบ, and I was not sure if the cold would hurt my camera, so I didn’t stay out long. Below is one of my first shots, taken from the tree with the bird feeders. I have a trail out to it, so you will notice a lot of my winter photos have been taken from this point.

Not five minutes later, the scene in the sky got even more lovely. I just couldn’t miss it, so went back out with my camera. Do you think it was worth a few minutes in the cold?

These photos are stunning! I was out driving in it this morning, and marveling at the colors even amidst the traffic. Thank you for capturing it and putting it here. :)

So lovely. Honestly, my favorite is the first one with the kitchen window items. The juxtaposition of the pink sky and the glowing blue bottles is wonderful.

Absolutely worth the cold – ah, what we do for ART! All are lovely, but that top one, with the blue glass really caught my eye, very special light!

Some years ago I was getting ready for work when I looked out the window and was enthralled with a beautiful sunrise. I was so busy taking pictures I almost made myself late to work! I know just how you felt. Mother Nature does put on some beautiful shows. Thanks so much for sharing yours!
