When I started this blog, it was mainly about gardening, but in the five plus years I have been posting to it, I have tried out a few more paths. These days, I am just as likely to be following a deer trail in the woods, camera in hand than in the garden. Other paths may take me to the mountains the ocean, or even further afield. I live in a part of Maine very handy to all of this.
For most of my photos, I use a Nikon D200, and various lenses. I don’t post photo info because it can be found in the sidebar on my Flickr site. Just click on any post photo to get there. Enjoy you visit, and do come again.

Dear garden photographer,
I and a group of others are re-designing a low-income school’s playground in order to connect children to nature. We have done a small permaculture installation of a ‘forest garden’ and are designing a sign to publicize it and raise money for the full playground’s design. You have a beautiful picture of anise hyssop, might we use it on our sign?
Best,

You have an absolutely stunning blog. The photos as well as the words are so evocative. Normally I quickly peruse WP blogs and go about my merry way. Your photos captivated me and made me want to dig around your site a little longer.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with the world. ~ Ayanna Nahmias
Well, thanks so much!
Sunshine Award
Hi there! I love your blog, and that’s why I am nominating you for the Sunshine Award! Please feel free to do whatever you wish with it. There is no obligation! Here’s the link to my post on Tuesday with the rules etc. http://wordsandherbs.wordpress.com/2012/04/17/sunshine-and-l…er-blog-awards/
Happy blogging! Cathy
Well awards seem to be abounding with spring. I have nominated you for the Reader Appreciation Award. This award helps spread the word about bloggers we appreciate. The basic gist is to post the award on your blog, then pass along your recommendations for six other blogs worth reading.
I enjoy visiting your blog because I often times see a cousin of the Wyoming native plants I like to photograph, and any lovely flowers bring on a smile.
You can see my nominations at wyominglife dot wordpress dot com/2012/04/24/ive-been-nominated-for-the-reader-appreciation-award/
Thanks again!
